Captivating Words: I Am Redeemed
Words Can Captivate Your Man

Today's Truth
"A good wife is hard to find, and worth far more than diamonds" (Proverbs 31:10, The Message).
Friend To Friend
Today, I want you to use your imagination. I want you to imagine your husband sitting at his desk or at a quiet place at work. Imagine him lost in thought about how blessed he is to have you as his wife. He holds your framed picture in his hand and moisture begins to pool in his eyes. He is captivated.
All the riches in the world are not to be compared with the jewel I have in this woman, he muses. What did I ever do to deserve her? God has given me such a gift. All our married life, she has done nothing but love me, bring out the best in me, and look out for my best interest. All the guys at the office are envious of our relationship. I see the way their eyes soften when she comes by just to tell me hello, grabs my hand when we're at office functions, or pecks me on the cheek for no apparent reason. I notice that her loving words to me are in stark contrast to some of the cutting remarks of other wives...and so do my friends. I look around at the accomplishments of my life, but having this woman as my wife is my greatest. Oh sure, there are many women out there in the world who are accomplishing great feats, but my wife...well, she surpasses them all.
What a picture! That's the woman I want to be, don't you? And amazingly my words can be the determining factor as to whether this scenario is possible or not. Did you know that there are words your husband longs to hear? Did you know that there are words we should never say? Let me give you a few from my book, The Power of a Woman's Words.
Words to Never Say to Your Husband
1. I told you so.
2. You just don't think.
3. It's your fault.
4. What's wrong with you?
5. I can't do anything to please you.
6. All you care about is yourself.
7. You never listen to me.
8. I don't know why I put up with you.
9. What do you want now?
10. How many times do I have to tell you?
Words Your Husband Longs to Hear
I've been thinking about you all day.
What can I do for you today?
How can I pray for you today?
The best part of my day is when you come home.
You are one of God's most precious gifts to me.
You are so wonderful.
You look so handsome today.
I don't feel complete without you.
I will always love you.
I trust your decisions.
Today, be aware of the words you say to your husband. Do they build him up or tear him down? Do they make him glad he came home, or wish he hadn't?
Let's Pray
Dear Lord, please keep watch over my lips today. Help me use my words to speak life to those I come in contact with today. Help me use my words to build up and not tear down.
In Jesus' Name,
Amen.
Now It's Your Turn
Why not pick out 1 or 2 phrases from the list of words you husband longs to hear and try them out with your husband today. You might be surprised just how much his eyes light up! When you love your husband well, God says "Well done, my good and faithful servant!"

David's Mighty Men
When Satan Attacks Your Destiny
TGIF Today God Is First Volume 2, by Os Hillman
02-16-2011
"When the Philistines heard that David had been crowned king of Israel, they tried to capture him; but David was told that they were coming and went into the stronghold. The Philistines arrived and spread out across the valley of Rephaim. Then David asked the Lord, 'Shall I go out and fight against them? Will you defeat them for me?'" (2 Sam 5:17-19).
When you are about to enter your destiny, there is always opposition from Satan designed to prevent you from fulfilling your destiny.
When Jesus was born, Herod tried to kill him. When Jesus was baptized and fasted 40 days, Satan came to tempt Him in an effort to derail his destiny. When David had been anointed king over Israel, God's destiny had been revealed for all to see-even Satan. So, Satan raised up the Philistines to try and kill David's destiny.
However, in response, we see David do two things. First, he retreats to his stronghold. It is a place of protection. It is a quiet place. Second, he inquires of God. It is here that he inquires of God for the strategy to defeat his enemy. God reveals it to him and he goes on to defeat the Philistines. In fact, David NEVER lost a battle because he learned to inquire of God for the strategy to defeat his enemies.
Do you know God's intended destiny for your life? Beware of Satan's strategy to attack you in the place of your destiny. His desire is to take you off this divine path.
We must follow David's example in response to the enemy of our souls. We must retreat to our stronghold, seek the Lord, and listen for His answer. Then, we will fulfill the purpose for which God created us.
Today's Prayer
Dear God, You know how eager I am to jump in and take matters into my own hands. Sometimes, I don't take time to think and talk with you about a situation first. I know I should take matters to You; I should slow down a little to think and pray. Help me to not be so hard-headed all the time, but to slow down and wait on Your guidance...even Your intervention. Please give me wisdom, so that maybe I won't have to spend so much time wandering in the wilderness because of my ignorance. Thank you.

Saints in God's Sight Through Christ
Pastor Adrian Rogers
"Thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ." Galatians 4:7
Are you saved? If you are, then you are a saint.
Now you're probably saying, "But, I can't say that. Christ wants me to be humble."
But let me tell you what real humility is. It is accepting what God says about you, and God says you're a saint. Now, that doesn't make you sinless; it makes you blameless. In God's sight (and that's the only sight that counts) you are a saint. God sees you as perfect because He sees you draped in the righteousness of His Son. Glory to God for His indescribable love to us!
Stand in front of the mirror and say out loud, "I am a saint." Spread the Good News to your family and friends who are saved - that they are saints, too!

I Am Redeemed
by The Neverclaim
I heard this song at their concert on 2/12/2011 and it really spoke to me and reminded me that even in my darkest moments God is holding me and He'll never let me go. This is a poem I wrote inspired by this song. - Kool Christian Girl
In my darkness You hold me close
And You whisper Your words so sweet
You come with Your love so soft
Your promises I hold on to
You're more faithful than the sun in the sky
I need You more than I need the breath in my bones.
And You hold me in Your arms
Yes You hold me in Your arms
And You never let me go
Even when my heart is breaking
And the lies are creeping
When I find it hard to breathe
You never let me go
Even when I fall away
You still have everlasting love
You look me in the eye
And call me Your child
Your little girl.
You see all my pain
You see all my doubts
But You see only love
You see only grace
For I am Your child
Your beloved.
But You hold me in Your arms
Yes You hold me in Your arms
And You never let me go
Even when my heart is breaking
And the lies are creeping
When I find it hard to breathe
Daddy You're so good
More than my words will ever say
So this is a simple song of thanks to You
A simple song of love to You my King.
Thank You Jesus
You hold me in Your arms
Yes You hold me in Your arms
And You never let me go
Even when my heart is breaking
And the lies are creeping
When I find it hard to breathe
No matter what, always You hold me in Your arms.
