Fireman Jack

Last month my friend Tawny threw a Fireman party for Trevor's 3rd birthday! It was so much fun, totally age appropriate, and adorable!

This was the cutest game ever and the boys all loved it! They got to throw water balloons to put out the "fire."

*While I was putting this post together, looking at all these sweet little boys with firemen hats on, I couldn't help but think of the 343 brave firefighters {and thousands of others} that lost their lives 10 years ago on 9/11. 

I pray that the Lord will continue to work through that horrible situation to bring life, peace and restoration to everyone who has suffered as a result of that tragedy.

Two of my best friends, Tawny & Nichole, both have sons that are Jack's age and daughters close to Claire's age.

We all have so much fun together, and it is such a blessing to have such sweet friends along side us in this journey of parenting

and motherhood.

My friendships with these girls are priceless.

Watching our babies grow up together is priceless.

So blessed.

Feathering the Nest

My sweet Nana threw a darling baby shower for me and Baby Claire! We had a delicious brunch at her house and I was so blessed by all the love and sweet people in our lives! I am definitely feeling the "nesting" urge now, so the delicate bird theme was perfect! It was so much fun, and so not stressful! Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a special day!!

Parties and {more} Pumpkins

I realized that I totally skipped over Jack's little birthday party...so here it is! His party was rescheduled because we got sick, and then it was supposed to be at the pumpkin patch, but we got rained out so we ended up at my sister's house, which was great! The only bummer was that since we had to change the date (and location) twice, a few people couldn't make it. We missed the Gonsalves' and the Molchanoffs!! I made apple cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting- a less processed, fake, sugary type of dessert for the little ones, but still super delish!

 On his real birthday we went to Nana's house for yummy banana bran muffins and coffee! We celebrated Isabella too, because her birthday is 3 days before Jack's!

A Pumpkin, A Pirate, and A Puppy

We are so blessed to have wonderful friends, and it is so fun to have our boys so close in age. This week we finally made it to the Pumpkin Station in Bonita, after several foiled attempts (thanks to sickness and rain). Trevor {the Pumpkin}, Ryder {the Pirate}, and Jack {the Puppy} had so much fun together at the Pumpkin patch!!

It is always a challenge trying to photograph three 2 (and almost 2) year olds!! They have so much energy, they don't want to be bothered by poses and pictures! At one point, Jack was furiously drumming on one of the pumpkins, Ryder literally made a run for it (no certain destination in mind), and Trevor just wasn't sure what was going on.

Of course the day we finally go, it ended up being almost 80 degrees!!! My lil puppy was over his very warm costume!!

There was so much for the boys to do, and we were lucky enough to go on a weekday morning, so there was hardly anyone there. They had most of the things to themselves! I loved it too, because then we didn't have to worry about big kids, rude kids, or too many germs. The boys loved the Giant Pumpkin Slide and the Giant Pumpkin Jumpy! There was a tractor to sit on and a car & motorcycle merry-go-round type ride!

Our last stop was the petting zoo where the boy got to see the goats, chickens and bunnies! We had such a fun day! My friends Tawny (Trevor's mommy) and Heather (Ryder's mommy) are the best!! So thankful for sweet friends!
